Occupational Health and Safety in the Workplace

The staff at ActiveLife Chiropractic were most privileged to be asked to facilitate a talk on workplace safety, with Singapore’s largest, and leading professional health and safety organisation.

iOSH is the only chartered body for health and safety professionals in the world. Founded in 1945 they are the largest health and safety organisation with more than 44,000 individual members in over 100 countries.

iOSH explained to ActiveLife that across the world, almost two million people die every year as a result of health and safety failures, their commitment is to creating a world of work which is safe, healthy and sustainable. Through their teaching, consulting and educational programs, iOSH work with a range of organisations to raise awareness and standards,  they develop training for schools and businesses and also work towards running campaigns that are relevant to millions of working individuals.

ActiveLife was able to consult on a talk from the human factor perspective for the leading representatives of iOSH in Singapore, detailing specific focal points for health and safety officers to take pertinent note of when assessing workplace situations and developing safety programs. Our staff at ActiveLife emphasised the balance between productivity of the workplace while maintaining the utmost highest standard of Occupational health and safety through proper ergonomics and task specific tools.
